Shamuel’s House
The Holy Family
Shamuel the Seer (Ra the Egyptian Deity) is a reincarnated figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the period of the biblical judges to the institution of a kingdom under Saul, and again in the transition from Saul to David. He is venerated as a prophet and chief judge of Israel by Jews, Christians, and Muslims. In addition to his role in the Hebrew Scriptures, Samuel is mentioned in the New Testament, in rabbinical literature, and in the second chapter of the Qur’an although here not by name. Samson Hebrew: שִׁמְשׁוֹן, Šīmšōn, “man of the sun”). was the last of the judges of the ancient Israelites mentioned in the Book of Judges (chapters 13 to 16) and one of the last leaders who “judged” Israel before the institution of the monarchy. He is sometimes considered as an Israelite version of the popular Near Eastern folk hero also embodied by the Sumerian Amar Utu, Anu, and the Greek Heracles. Shemesh ( 𒀭𒌓 “Sun“), also known under the Akkadian name Shamash, was the ancient Mesopotamian sun god. Beit Shemesh means “house of the sun” or “temple of the sun” in Hebrew. The Bronze-Age city was originally named after the Canaanite sun-goddess Shapash, sometimes called Shemesh, who was worshipped there in antiquity. The name Beth-Shemesh was shared by (at least) two other places in Israel, and one more in Egypt, presumably the site known in Greek as Heliopolis, bearing the same meaning
The Chumash are a Native American people of the central and southern coastal regions of California, in portions of what is now San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties, extending from Morro Bay in the north to Malibu in the south. They are the decedents’ of the ancient Shemites, who worshipped Anu in ancient Babylon, Ra the sun god in ancient Egypt, also known as Shemash or El the ancient one of Israel. Their territory included three of the Channel Islands: Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and San Miguel; the smaller island of Anacapa was likely inhabited seasonally due to the lack of a consistent water source. The Abenaki, Inca, Inuit, Aniyunwiya, Nuwubi, Algonquin, and the Anishinaabe people are known as the Annu People. Similitudes are not only linguistic but also symbolically as in Mapuche and Central Andean cosmology for the ancestorial spirits of the Sun (Inti/Antu) and the Moon (Quilla/Cuyen) which are spouses. Apollo is one of the reincarnations of Shemesh in classical Greek times and Roman religion and Greek and Roman mythology. Through national divinity of the Greeks, Apollo has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. As one of the most important and complex of the Greek gods, Shamash as Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. Seen as the most beautiful god and the ideal of the kouros (ephebe, or a beardless, athletic youth), Apollo is considered to be the most Greek of all the gods. Apollo is known in Greek-influenced Etruscan mythology as Apulu which has moorish origins. Shamuel was believed to see everything that happened in the world every day and was therefore responsible for the justice and protection of travelers. As a divine judge, he could be associated with the underworld. Additionally, he could serve as the god of divination, typically alongside the weather god Adad. While he was universally regarded as one of the primary gods, he was particularly venerated in Sippar and Larsa as Sumu-El. He is also treated in the fifth through seventh books of Josephus‘s Antiquities of the Jews, written in the first century CE (AD). He is first called the Seer as the incarnation of Prophet Samuel meaning those of the Rocketship in 1 Samuel 9:9. Shamuel also means the place (House) or name of God.
